Lately, I've felt crushed, like I'm constantly juggling a million things with no pause button. So, I did something I always fall back on when life feels spiralling: I took a step back. I paused, calmed myself, and started to write. Writing things down is my go-to therapy, taking stock of what's actually going on in my head and heart.
As I began to offload everything onto paper, I realized I had packed what felt like a trillion things onto my plate. From certifications I'm trying to complete to personal projects, launching my business properly, managing work responsibilities, and just keeping up with life, I've been operating on overdrive.
My routine has been out of sync. I'm sleeping later than usual, constantly tired, and mentally stretched. It hit me that I had gotten to that place again where I'm so focused on what's next that I'm not even present in the now.
And then I had a lightbulb moment:
Seriously.
Take a breath.
Everything will align in time.

We're now in June, halfway through 2025, and part of my anxiety came from feeling like I hadn't done enough. Yet, when I paused to reflect, I realized I've already achieved much more than I gave myself credit for. I had goals this year, many of which are already ticked off. That's something to celebrate, not ignore.
So, I did a full life audit—from finances to career, relationships, family, and even spirituality. I wrote it all down. Scored me, honestly. Not to criticize but to evaluate where I'm really at. And what I discovered was:
I've done well.
I am doing well.
It reminded me that rest is not failure, and re-prioritizing doesn't mean giving up. I've now created a revised plan for the rest of the year. I've listed what truly matters, what I can let go of, and what can wait.
And most importantly?
I've decided not to beat myself up if I don't achieve everything on my list before December. Life isn't a race; it's a rhythm, and it's okay to flow with it.
If You're Feeling Overwhelmed, Too, Here's What Helped Me:
- Write it down – Don't let your thoughts just swirl in your head. Put them on paper.
- Break it into areas – Career, health, relationships, finances, personal growth, etc.
- Score yourself honestly – Not to shame, but to evaluate and reflect.
- Celebrate what you've done – Acknowledge your wins, even the quiet ones.
- Prioritize what matters next – Not everything is urgent.
- Give yourself grace – You are allowed to adjust the plan without guilt.
So, if you're reading this and also feeling like the year is moving too fast or like you're not doing enough—pause. Take a deep breath. Evaluate. Celebrate. Recalibrate.
You've done more than you think.
And you're doing just fine.
Let's breathe through the rest of 2025 intentionally.
